Whether a fanatical Queensryche fan, Hard Rock music lover or appreciator of great vocal talent, the Amsterdam Bar and Hall in St. Paul is where you needed to be February 8th. I'm happy to report there was great crowd energy and Geoff Tate was feeling the love, which helped fuel what was a really enjoyable show. Don't think calling it an acoustic show meant it wasn't ROCKIN', as the 2 guitars, violin and percussion absolutely delivered the goods and the new sound system at Amsterdam is legit!
Tate's vocal performance was really impressive, especially considering he packed 35 years of material into 2 hours. The story tellers format was an added bonus as Tate seemed very genuine and proud to share the stories behind his life's work with the receptive audience.

A shout out to Sue McLean & Associates for their role bringing this "hidden gem" of a show to the Twin Cities.
