The Jim Campilongo Trio returned to Icehouse 10/23 for another entertaining installment of JT's Jazz Implosion. No opening act this time allowed for a longer set that included a nice variety of material that explored different moods, textures and dynamics. Campilongo's skill on a Telecaster is so unique and surprising that it has a way of naturally capturing your holding onto your undivided attention. Trio mates Chris Morrissey (bass) and Josh Dion (drums / vocals) are not only great players, but also incredibly expressive adding a great deal to the overall entertainment value.
