The current release "Slow" from Ottmar Liebert was recorded simply with one guitar and one microphone to promote the concept of taking some time away from the constant barrage of noise we are subjected to daily. His June 5th appearance at Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis did include his band Luna Negra (Jon Gagan on Bass / Chris Steele on Drums & Percussion), but the spirit of "Slow" could be felt and was comforting and entertaining.

 

In addition to his hits, Liebert also performed several songs from "Waiting n Swan", which is his project combining the rhythms of Tangos Flamenco with Reggae beats and includes many Bob Marley classics. His performance delighted listeners at 2 shows that evening and Liebert appeared to be enjoying what was his final show of this tour.
